The one thing to know first#
Canonical is multisig by default: every transaction needs two approvals, one from a human. A brand-new wallet has only one person in it, so your first transfer will not go through until you add a second approver. That is the wallet keeping its promise, not a bug — the first-transaction guide walks you through it.
